Blake & Lanie {Engaged}

I’ve known Lanie for a long time, going all the way back to the elementary years, spending time at her mom’s dance studio. For as long as I’ve known her, she has always been the most bubbly, fun-loving person you have ever met. So when she asked me to shoot her wedding and engagement photos, I knew we would have a great time and lots of laughs — she didn’t prove me wrong!

As they pulled up to our first location, I was greeted with a big hug from Lanie, and as I attempted to greet Blake with a handshake, he told me “I’m a hugger, too!” and pulled me right in. Talk about great first meetings! At this point I knew we were in for an awesome evening.

These two were up for everything. The fun shots, the smiling “mom-shots,” the creative shots. {Although it was a bit hard to get straight faces in between all the laughter… but that’s a good problem to have!}

And after Lanie told me that Blake grew up on a farm, I knew he would have no problem whisking her up like a feather — which I then learned is his signature move!

{If this is any indication of how their first dance at their wedding is going to go, I’m in.}

Blake told us that he wanted some pictures down by the rocks, and then proceeded to lead Lanie right across to the middle of the river! {It’s a good thing they’re both in the medical field, because he almost gave me a heart attack when he picked her up on that last rock! He’s risky, but romantic!}

But the results were worth it.

Blake and Lanie, it has been an absolute joy working on your engagement images, and we are so excited for your wedding next Fall. Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a special season of your lives. Congratulations, and happy wedding planning!!
