David + Rachel // Engaged

Somewhere around ten years ago, I met Rachel through some mutual friends. We spent some of our high school years together, in the same friend groups, and even spent my Senior prom together. A little over seven years ago, she came to my wedding and helped us celebrate our special day. I always enjoyed Rachel’s friendship, as she was one of the sweetest people I knew. Life took us in different directions, and even to different states, but thanks to social media and modern technology, we were able to keep in touch.

When I heard about Rachel’s engagement, I knew that her fiancé had to be someone special. I had only heard about David through social media, but their engagement story said it all. David had proposed to Rachel at a friend’s house, where he lined the hallway and the staircase with lights, rose petals, and pictures of them together. As she entered the house, she followed the trail to the top, where David was waiting, down on one knee, to ask Rachel to be his wife. I was almost in tears hearing the story and seeing the photos – I can only imagine Rachel’s reaction in that moment!

Obviously, she said yes (who wouldn’t!), and the rest was history. When they contacted me about their wedding photography, I was so excited to be part of it. I couldn’t wait to celebrate their big day with them, and to see Rachel + David have the wedding of their dreams! David was just as awesome as I had anticipated, and a perfect match for my sweet friend. Now, their day is finally here!

Tomorrow, this sweet couple gets their turn, to be joined in marriage in front of all their family and friends.

Rachel + David, we are beyond excited for you both, and can’t wait to celebrate with you tomorrow!
